Doctor on Trial Bought Recorder, Searched Wife’s Affair Before Alleged Attack: Forensics

On Tuesday, Thomas Iinuma, a digital forensics examiner with the Honolulu Police Department, took the stand to discuss his examination of a laptop that allegedly belonged to Gerhardt Konig. The detective detailed several Reddit searches conducted under Konig’s laptop profile, which focused on his wife Arielle’s alleged infidelity and his need for support. Iinuma also highlighted audio book purchases and the delivery of an audio recorder. Konig is currently on trial for allegedly attacking his wife — allegedly pushing her toward a cliff, attempting to inject her with a syringe, and striking her repeatedly with a lava rock.
