Diffusing Tips: Prevent Frizz & Achieve Gel Cast ✨

if you’re not getting a gel cast when you diffuse, keep reading 👇🏼

there are 2 reasons why you’re not getting a gel cast when you’re diffusing:

1. you’re using a soft or light hold gel that doesn’t form much of a cast (which is okay, this is not a bad thing)
2. you’re immediately pixie diffusing (cupping your curls with the diffuser bowl) on your freshly wet styled curls

if you go right in and start pixie diffusing without letting your hair develop somewhat of a cast - then it’s going to be super tough for the cast to form, and will most likely cause a lot of frizz and undefined curls 😕

here’s what I recommend instead ⤵️
- air dry for 10-15 mins or hover the diffuser 3-5 inches over your head until you feel a slight crunch (this crunch is the gel cast forming)
- after you feel a crunch, you can flip your hair from side to side and start pixie diffusing: cupping the diffuser over your curls and holding for 5-8 seconds at the root and gently releasing
- repeat until dry and then scrunch out the crunch (gel cast) with your fav lightweight oil
