After the end of Demon Slayer the author gave us a bonus chapter where Tanjiro and his friends filled us on on everything they did after the end of the battle against demons. All four of them live together, with Inosuke and Tanjiro catching fish for them all to eat, and Zenitsu being the worst roommate ever who never wants to do anything, but atleast he does the dishes which is the bare minimum to not be hated. Tanjiro and Nezuko were sent a massive amount of money from the Ubuyashiki family, but when they refused it it only kept coming back with larger amounts, so eventually they took it, but they still work as Coal Burners to keep up with the family tradition, and because many people in his village prefer it to gas which is becoming more common. Over time, Tanjiro notices that Giyu starts to come out of his shell, and Tanjiro keeps writing letters to Sanemi since he can read but can’t write, and needs the companionship. Like this for part 2 of their happy ending, which of course can only be happy for so long.
