About this video

Inspired by Proust Questionnaire, the Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques has decided to test some of the mathematicians in residence here to find out a little more about their personality... Boris Hasselblatt is put on the spot.

Boris Hasselblatt, professor at the Department of Mathematics at Tufts University, Boston, has been selected to hold the Jean-Morlet Chair from November 2013 to April 2014. During his time in France, Hasselblatt will collaborate on a variety of projects, including projects in geometry such as Godbillon-Vey classes for foliations (which serve to distinguish subtly different geometric configurations) as well as dynamical systems, which address questions related to detecting particular structures in highly chaotic dynamical systems.
