BIYSC - Quantum Cryptography Lab

We invite you to take a journey to the core of Quantum Physics, starting from its foundations, and building day by day the basis to understand the upcoming quantum technologies. At ICFO, you will combine theoretical learning with practical experiments. You will work in groups for a hands-on experiment and will witness how quantum physics is strictly connected to information processing and how it can improve current technologies, such as communications, cryptography, and computing. This two-week residential program is held annualy in July in Barcelona, and is designed for an international group of 150 brilliant young scientists aged between 16 and 18 years old. Participants have the chance to apply for research projects offered in collaboration with top-ranked Research Centers, Hospitals, and Universities. These projects span a wide array of STEM fields, providing opportunities to engage in cutting-edge, hands-on research within a real scientific setting and alongside leading scientists and researchers.
