City’s long unbeaten run in the Premier League came to an end with a 2-1 defeat against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. Goals from Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson consigned Pep Guardiola’s champions to a first loss in 33 outings in the top-flight, a run stretching back to 6 December 2023. Semenyo’s opener came less than ten minutes after the kick-off before Evanilson doubled Bournemouth’s advantage just after the hour mark. City, ravaged by injury issues, never gave up and restored hope when Josko Gvardiol scored a brilliant header in the 82nd minute.
