Cybersecurity Shorts for Executives: The Essential Role of the New CISO 🔐

Reaching out to an audience of senior executives, George Mason University’s Dr. J. P. Auffret addresses the evolving role of an organization’s top cybersecurity position. The chief information security officer (CISO) is becoming an executive leadership position, calling for knowledge of not just technology, but also of policy, business and leadership. George Mason University’s Center for Assurance Research and Engineering (CARE) in conjunction with the George Mason School of Business has a research to practice orientation, conducting research on major cybersecurity issues of the day and partnering with government and private sector entities including NSF, DARPA, NIST, Korea Agency for Defense Development, IBM and PwC. We also provide workshops for executives to assist on addressing current cybersecurity challenges, including building cybersecurity programs and fostering cybersecurity leadership and executive engagement.
