Cryptology & Cryptography Explained: Secrets of Encryption & Codebreaking 🔐

Cryptology is the science of making and breaking secret codes. Cryptography means hidden writing. The construction and use of rules/ protocols/codes or secrets to hide information is called cryptography.
Cryptoanalysis is about ways/techniques to read the hidden information from the codes or secrets.
The process of converting of original text (plaintext) into secret message is know as Encryption
The process of converting of ciphertext back into original message (plaintext) is know as Decryption
Symmetric cryptographic algorithm uses the same key to encrypt (sender) and decrypt (receiver) the message. Asymmetric Encryption algorithm is also known as Private Key Encryption Algorithm.

Asymmetric cryptographic algorithm uses two different key to encrypt (sender) and decrypt (receiver) the message. Asymmetric Encryption algorithm is also known as Public Key Encryption Algorithm.
