About this video
In the vacuum of space, there is no air or oxide layer between the metal surfaces. When two clean, flat pieces of the same metal touch, their atoms have no barrier and will bond together as if they are one piece. This happens because the atoms donβt "know" they are from separate objects in such conditions. This phenomenon is called cold welding.
