But you’ve definitely heard of several of their children and grandchildren. Through strategic marriages, the attractive and charming Coburg Princes founded royal dynasties in Britain, Belgium, Portugal and Bulgaria. They transformed their small duchy into one of the most influential houses in Europe. It was even nicknamed the breading pen of European royalty. Today let’s get to know Queen Victoria’s Grandparents, mother, favorite uncle Leopold who became the first King of Belgium, other uncle and father in law Ernst, and the other fascinating siblings of the Saxe-Coburg family.
