Close the Door, Open Eyes: Post-Punk Classics 🎸

In this session, the Giuntas dive deep into the classic sound of post-punk, an emblematic genre of crucial importance in musical history. Following the explosion of the punk movement and its “musical democratization,” it didn't take long for the first experimentations to appear, pushing the sound beyond its limits by incorporating elements from other genres such as krautrock, reggae, dub, disco, electronica, and even hip hop. In turn, post-punk laid the groundwork for several emerging sounds like new wave, dark wave, no wave, alternative rock, and indie rock, among others.

Pablo and Chelo share a long history linked to the post-punk movement, a favorite sound from their early forays as vinyl selectors in different dives and basements of Buenos Aires.
