About this video
In an attempt to encourage North Somerset district and executive councillors Elfan Ap Rees and Nigel Ashton (NSC Leader) to attend a PACT meeting (Partners and Communities Together) to face the residents of Portishead who have many outstanding questions on Portishead's Highways and Road Safety, PACT members could see no harm in the town council chairwoman Ros Cruse writing to both Cllrs Ap Rees and Ashton. Ros Cruse's letter was sent days before PACT Chairman Nick Gough's own further invitations. Cllr Ap Rees responded to Nick speedily yet Ros Cruse is still awaiting a reply. Cllr Ap Rees again declined to not only meet with residents in Portishead, but he refused to allow even just one PACT member to accompany Nick Gough to a meeting with Cllr Ap Rees at Castlewood. Ros Cruse found it hard to believe that PACT members had the answer before her but it perhaps goes to show what Cllr Ap Rees thinks about Portishead Town Council?!
