On this day in 2008, the Hoops played the game that will be forever remembered for Shunsuke Nakamura’s absolutely stunning long-range swerving net-finder of a shot against Rangers. However, that wasn’t the only memorable moment of drama in a game that turned the tide in the championship fight. Novo equalised in the 50th minute, before Nakamura looked set for his second when handball on the line resulted in a penalty. Scott McDonald failed to score from the spot, but made amends in the 90th minute when he set up Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink for a last-gasp winning header. The Dutchman scored again in the final game of the campaign on a glorious Helicopter Thursday.
