About this video

Founder and Owner of DDQ Scientific Apps and Webservices
Norbert Schmidt moved from Haarlem to Zuid Limburg and started his own company DDQ, which specializes in the development of apps for medical and scientific purposes.

As founder and owner of DDQ, Norbert spends his time developping concepts and apps for a wide array of clients. In his work he accentuatues the creative aspect of app development, stating that "a developer without creativity is but a robot". He works from the beautiful countryside of South Limburg, because an app developer can work from everywhere.

Amongst his creations are iSPEX, an app wchich measures fine dust, the QR code reader HD (voted most popular business app), Top Online (processing 60.000 medical prescriptions a day), and Dark Sky Meter (another citizen science app) , and a host of other apps which can be found on DDQ's website.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
