Chinese Hackers Use US AI Tech to Automate Attacks 🤖

Chinese hackers have used American AI technology to automate hacking.

Anthropic, a San Francisco-based AI startup, says state-backed Chinese hackers exploited its technology to hack companies and governments this September.

The company added that Chinese hackers targeted 30 entities and managed to steal sensitive information. Anthropic did not disclose the victims.

Chinese hackers told the AI tools that they were carrying out security audits on the target's behalf. They also split the campaign into smaller tasks to avoid raising alarms in the program.
