China's Shenzhou-21 sends youngest astronaut, mice to 'Heavenly Palace' space station

China launched its Shenzhou-21 spacecraft on Friday (Oct 31) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre, sending three astronauts — including Wu Fei, 32, the country’s youngest astronaut — to the Tiangong space station for a six-month mission.

The mission also carries four black mice, the first small mammals sent to China’s space station for reproduction experiments in low Earth orbit.
