China Strengthens Border Security Amid Rising Violence in Burma 🇨🇳

China says it has taken measures to reinforce border safety with conflict-torn Burma amid concern that escalating violence between the country's government and ethnic separatists is spilling over. <br /><br />An official Chinese newspaper, the Global Times, reported last week that China had sent troops to the border between its Yunnan Province and Burma's northern Kachin State "to understand the situation". <br /><br />There were also reports oft artillery shells exploding on a mountain in Yingjiang County, which borders Burma.
