TLS Exam for Teachers in UAE 🇦🇪

The Teacher Licensing System (TLS) exam is mandatory for all teachers in the UAE, from Kindergarten to Grade 12. It’s designed to ensure teachers meet professional standards and are officially licensed to teach.

There are 2 main parts to the TLS exam:
1. Pedagogy Test – Focuses on teaching strategies, classroom management, and educational psychology.
2. Specialization Test – Based on the subject you teach (e.g., Math, Science, English, etc.).

Who needs to give the TLS exam?
All teachers—including subject teachers, class teachers, and inclusion/SEN teachers—must take it. Even HODs and supervisors who teach students are required to appear.

How to register?
Your school will register you on the TLS portal and inform you about the exam dates.
