The new Suzuki Fronx might just be the best bang-for-buck micro SUV in Australia, by bringing big-SUV energy to the compact SUV segment. You want heated leather-accented seats, a head-up display (Suzuki’s first in Australia), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 autonomous driving? You got it.

Yep – this little SUV can steer, brake and accelerate on its own in traffic.

Power comes from a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine (75kW/138Nm) paired with a 12-volt mild hybrid system and a six-speed auto. It’s not turbocharged, but it sips fuel at just 5.4L/100km and runs on regular 91 RON fuel.

Compact dimensions (just 3990mm long, 2520mm wheelbase) and a 4.8m turning circle make it perfect for city life. Boot space is a decent 308 litres and inside, it’s loaded with equipment.

You get a 9-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, USB ports front and back and a slick pop-up HUD with five info modes.
