The Macrons have filed a 219-page defamation lawsuit in Delaware, accusing Owens of spreading a “relentless and unjustified smear campaign." The lawsuit claims Owens falsely alleged that Brigitte allegedly was born a man, assumed another person’s identity, and is related to her husband.<br /><br />The suit also accuses Owens of promoting “outlandish” conspiracy theories for profit, including claims of CIA mind control, incest, and fraud, while selling merchandise like a fake Time Magazine cover shirt, which sold out and was later restocked. <br /><br />In response, Owens’ team called the lawsuit an attack on her First Amendment rights and said she had requested an interview with Brigitte before releasing the podcast.
