2026 Genesis GV70 Review: What's New? 🚗

This is a Motormouth couple car review of the updated 2026 Genesis GV70 compact luxury SUV. The 2026 Genesis GV70 has a new front fascia with a redesigned G-Matrix Crest grille, reshaped headlamps, larger air intakes, new 19” and 21” wheel options and a new colour Ceres Blue. The interior is where you will find the biggest changes including a new standard 27” OLED display with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, enhanced voice recognition controls, improved OTA updates, an available digital key, smart key has been extended to the second row, a new terrain mode, the wireless charger has been moved to a more convenient location and there’s an available 16-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system.
2026 Genesis GV70 comfort and stability have been enhanced with the introduction of Highway Body Motion Control which controls front and rear dampening forces when accelerating or decelerating. The driver assist technology includes, steering wheel hands on detection, improved lane following assist, upgraded remote smart parking assist and diagonal parking capabilities.
There are two 2026 Genesis GV70 powertrain options, we are driving the 3.5T with a 3.5L twin turbocharged V6, it’s paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque, standard AWD. Premium fuel is recommended.
The base 2026 Genesis GV70 engine is a 2.5L turbocharged 4-cyinder with 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque.
The 2026 Genesis GV70 comes standard with leatherette upholstery, available perforated leather and quilted Nappa leather. There are beautiful trim pieces throughout the cabin with different interior colour options available.
In Canada, the 2026 Genesis GV70 2.5T starts at $60,000 CAD, 2.5T Advanced Tech Package $67,500 CAD, 2.5T Prestige $73,000 CAD and 3.5T Sport $84,000 CAD (MSRP)
