Call for a Code of Conduct for Claimants in the South China Sea

United States Ambassador to Malaysia Joseph Yun believes that cooperation is needed for everyone due to the conflicting and overlapping claims in the South China Sea. <br /> <br />Speaking to reporters this morning he said he agreed with Malaysia's and ASEAN's calls on China to negotiate an agreement or code of conduct that would put into place a binding set of rules on how to behave despite overlapping claims.
