Manual Deadline Calculation: A Cautionary Tale 📅

This might ruffle some feathers, but here's the thing. I do not use software to pre-calculate deadlines for me. In fact, I believe that consistently using software that pre-calculates deadlines are not only detrimental to the long-term success of a thriving Paralegal Boss, but it hinders the muscle memory you'll count upon later in your career. As legal professionals, we're required to know the deadlines and rules of the jurisdictions we practice in. If you leave a firm that uses software like this, will you be able to calculate deadlines without it? If you think you'll have trouble, what will you rely on going forward? We all need tools to succeed. When and how we use those tools makes all the difference. Of course, this is just my opinion.
