BlockShow Europe. Blockchain meetup in Berlin highlights

Second stop on our European meetup route is Berlin. 150 people gathered on March 20 in Space Shack to communicate, get insights on the blockchain industry, listen to best industry’s experts and build useful business connections. BlockShow meetup is an event organized by the community for the community. There is so much going on about blockchain in Berlin! The German capital was first dubbed the “Bitcoin Capital of Europe” by the Guardian in 2013, and it is still true. Networking is key in the crypto scene and Berlin’s tech scene has a strong, vibrant community. Special thanks to our speakers: Franziska Hei, Portfolio Manager at Innovation Hub by Innogy, has shared her company’s experience with investing in statrups and how effectively they accelerate young businesses. Michael Geike from Advanced Blockchain AG has told about the evolution of DLT, DLT 4.0(!), hype around blockchain, and how nerdy the blockchain community is. Norbert Gehrke from nakamo.to has shared how the whole world will be tokenized very soon, how terrible the current state of the financial system is and what can be done to improve this. We also held a round for BlockShow Oscar, our startup competition with a grand prize of 50K Euro. All the contestants deserved to win, but Shelf.Network Inc was the best according to the community voting Thank you for being with BlockShow, Berliners, and don’t forget that we are getting back to the city very soon with our grandiose BlockShow event in Berlin!
