At the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, two rhythmic gymnastics events were held from August 6 to August 8, 2021. In the group all-around competition, Bulgaria won the gold medal. Simona Dyankowa, Stefani Kiryakowa, Madlen Radukanowa, Laura Traets, and Erika Zafirowa scored a total of 92.100 points on Sunday (08.08.2021), placing them ahead of Russia (90.700), who took silver. Italy won the bronze with a score of 87.700. This victory marks Bulgaria's first gold medal in rhythmic gymnastics and their best performance since winning silver in the inaugural group event at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. 🏅🇧🇬
