About this video
Mini Tesla Coil Schematic
Primary Circuit:
- 9-12V DC Power Source
- R1 (1kΞ©, 1/4W) - Base Resistor
- Q1 ( TIP41C/ BD243 ) - Transistor
- D1 (LED / 1N4148) - Diode
- Primary Winding (18-gauge, 5-10 turns)
Secondary Circuit:
- Core Rod (1cm wide, 5.5cm long)
- Secondary Winding (28-gauge, 150-250 turns)
- C1 (10-22nF, 1-2kV) - Capacitor
Connections:
- Power Source (+) to R1, then to Q1 (base)
- Q1 (collector) to Primary Winding
- Primary Winding to D1 (anode), then to Power Source (-)
- Secondary Winding to C1, then to Ferrite Core Rod
Optional:
- R2 (10-100kΞ©, 1/4W) - Additional Protection Resistor (connect in series with Q1 base)
Remember to follow proper safety precautions when working with high-voltage circuits.
