Bug Hunt December: Ongoing Fixes 🐞

The team is working to resolve this very tricky bug. We've implemented a few fixes that we hope have lessened the impact of this issue, but we're still hunting for the root of the problem. A dominant theory has emerged, and unless something else arises, we'll be building our resolution strategy around that.
