Master Breech Birth Techniques with Breech Without Borders 👶🏾

Hey, everyone! This was my first time attending a Breech Without Borders workshop, so I am still learning. There are a few maneuvers that were taught/demonstrated to us during the simulation training, this was just one of them: the Louwen Maneuver (“side to side”, as they called it) along with a one-handed Shoulder Press to get baby’s head out. The way I was doing the Shoulder Presses was a bit forceful (and perhaps incorrectly done with two hands) and would be done with much more care in a real-life situation lol.

In general though, there are always going to be potential risks with the use of any maneuver a medical provider chooses to do in a real-life situation. That is why it is important to practice so that the maneuvers are done correctly and with minimal risk of harm to the patient or client.

Like I said, this was my first time! Lol. I need to review the educational material and continue practicing on the simulators.
