Lyrics:
Iām not blind I can see
I can also see Braille, that doesnāt mean I can read it
One of these days
Iāll break down your walls
and crash through your ceiling
Still water runs deep
as deep as your eyes & Iām bound to drown
Itās too soon to cut you loose
Iāve clearly got more to prove
Your silence cuts through
Youāre givinā me nothinā
Iām not blind I can see
I can also see Braille, that doesnāt mean I can read it
Iām alive, I can feel
I can also feel Braille, that doesnāt mean I can read it
Just like I canāt read you
Just give me time
Iāll get under your skin
the way youāre under mine
I donāt know why
I so desperately seek the validation you hide
Iām too sore from loving you
and I aināt even loved ON you
Youāre too aloof
and Iām overthinkinā
Iām not blind I can see
I can also see Braille, that doesnāt mean I can read it
Iām alive, I can feel
I can also feel Braille, that doesnāt mean I can read it
Just like I canāt read you
I can see just fine baby
But I can read you
I don't understand
Iām not blind I can see
I can also see Braille, that doesnāt mean I can read it
Iām alive, I can feel
I can also feel Braille, that doesnāt mean I can read it
Just like I canāt read you
Iām not blind I can see
I can also see Braille, that doesnāt mean I can read it
Iām alive, I can feel
I can also feel Braille, that doesnāt mean I can read it
Just like I canāt read you
Iām not blind I can see
I can also see Braille, that doesnāt mean I can read it

About Braille:
BRAILLE is the soundtrack to the frustrations of star-crossed lovers everywhere. Featuring Swatkins (Allen Stone, Vulfpeck, Scary Pockets, The Positive Agenda) on talkbox and keyboards, BRAILLE was produced by my Brother Paul in a bedroom of our family home during quarantine. Iāve always had this innate power to read people and the energy in a room, so BRAILLE chronicles my experience attempting to read the unreadable. In the opening lines of this retro pop/funk anthem, I surrender to the struggle, singing āIām alive, I can feel. I can also feel braille. That doesnāt mean I can read it. Just like I canāt read you.ā Even the most extroverted person can hit a wall trying to connect with their secret crush, especially when theyāre the worldās most introverted person. Weāve all been there, itās a universal feeling. Braille is like relationship trauma bonding. Itās the perfect excuse to come together and share in our frustrations with dating and those pesky crushes you just canāt shake.
I will be donating 20% of all proceeds to The Braille Institute, Los Angeles in an effort to serve the community and keep the instituteās tremendous services free of charge to those in need. If you are able to donate or volunteer your services to the visually impaired community in any way, please do so here: https://brailleinstitute.org/ways-to-give
