About this video
Well - here we go!
First time on a BMW GS!
And man i really didn't like it.
Since every third bike you see in my area i expected it to be this magical unicorn of a bike that might not be the prettiest but at least it would surely ride the best.
But well not for me. Considering the huge asking price of 17.500β¬+ as a starting point nothing really excited me.
The engine and quickshifter is smooth as butter but there is no real punch to it. The sound is boring no matter the rev range. It's not uncomfortable but i wouldn't want to spend a day on it either. Even wind protection feels lacking.
It has more buttons than most cars i rode, feels more like a thicc spaceship.
I just don't get the mass appeal - its expensive, heavy and i don't really like the look of it either.
Yeah sure GS-Fanboys always tell me they never have any issues with it - but so do all the guys that ride japanese bikes for one third of the price less.
If i get the chance i will try out a boxer engine from bmw.
Maybe those bikes have the character the F900GS has been lacking for me.
