▪️Blackheads or open comedones are a common complaint. It occurs mostly in oily and combination skin type.

▪️Cause:
Excess sebum production
Keratin accumulation in hair follicle
Excess androgen hormone

▪️It can occur any where on the face but most commonly seen on the nose.

✅Salicylic acid serum twice a day helps in reducing blackheads m. Salicylic acid reduces stickiness of cells and keratin build up.

✅Retinol twice a week will increase epidermal cell turnover and reduces sebum production.

❌Do not use retinol and salicylic acid together as it can cause irritation.

❌Do not use pore strips or try to forcefully remove them as it can cause injury to yeh skin and leave behind dark spots.
❌Vacuum assisted pore cleansers are also not required.
