BLACK OPS 7 ZOMBIES CURSED MODE — FULL FIRST LOOK & GAMEPLAY BREAKDOWN!
Welcome to my Black Ops 7 Zombies Cursed Mode first-ever gameplay showcase! In this video, I dive into the brand-new Cursed Mode, a brutal survival variant that pushes Zombies to a completely different level. If you want to understand how Cursed Mode works, how its curse system affects gameplay, and why everyone is talking about it, this video has it all. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s Cursed Mode is a hardcore, high-difficulty variant of the Zombies experience designed for advanced players seeking a serious challenge.

Here’s how it works:
You begin the match with only a Pistol, with no customizable load-out weapons available.
The minimap is disabled, removing a common navigational aid.
The scoring system switches to the older style (similar to what was used in earlier Zombies mode)
Ammo costs and economy are modified to increase tension and resource management.
A limit of four active Perk-a-Colas is enforced during a run.
Ammo caches (traditional reserves) are removed in this mode.
But the unique twist of Cursed Mode is the system of Relics:
Across the map (specifically on the launch map Ashes of the Damned), players can discover Relics — special artifacts that unlock modifiers affecting future runs. These modifiers (via Relics) are essentially debuffs that make the run harder — e.g., increased zombie aggression, altered weapon behaviour, higher spawn rates — in exchange for better rewards.
You can activate multiple Relics before a run, and doing so fills up a “Tier Bar” that increases your difficulty tier (Tier I → Tier III) depending on how many Relics you choose. Higher tiers unlock further buffs (such as Golden Armor purchasable off-the-wall at Tier I) and greater rewards when completing the map. There are nine Relics available on Ashes of the Damned at launch. More Relics will be added in post-launch maps/seasons. This mode is built for players who opt in to increased challenge — you choose the modifiers and embrace the risk. As the devs say, it’s “all about being extremely difficult, and that’s okay now because you’re opting in for that.”
