A Black Lebanese Sudanese Egyptian news anchor did not hesitate to defend herself on television after being racially harassed for her skin color. This came after Dalia Ahmad criticized Lebanese officials, including Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

Hashtags targeting Ahmad’s skin color were trending on Twitter in Lebanon. One of the hashtags, in Arabic, was #DogBreedImprovement. Ahmad accused Hezbollah supporters of being behind the harassment campaign.
