they do; which is mainly standing still <br /> through the daystone desert-glow <br /> Let the sun go down though, and cactus <br /> people change before your eyes <br /> behind your back so that you don't <br /> know just what to make of them -- <br /> with shadow-seas molding tricks in them; <br /> From straight and dry they go to grey <br /> and ghosts that wave the way <br /> the night is turned, and if you walk <br /> among them; --- strange <br /> when it is dark and grave <br /> you'll feel them watching, <br /> yet turn to see which way <br /> They take a breeze <br /> like tuning forks all over -- <br /> and cactus people make a dumb-show <br /> you never will know what other-worldiness <br /> they are manufacturing <br /> so cautious under their combs.<br /><br />Beverly J.
