Picking the best phones of 2025 after testing over 75 in total, from budget friendly to flagship, compact to big, beefy to skinny! These are my top favourite smartphones that I've personally used which were launched in 2025, from Samsung, OPPO, Xiaomi, Motorola, Vivo, Nothing and many more.

We start with the greatest affordable options, including my pick of the top mid-range devices right now. Will the Pixel 9a be an easy winner? We then move onto the best camera phone of 2025, which was tough to judge. After all, the likes of Huawei, OPPO, Vivo and Google have all reliably pumped out some cracking mobiles with excellent optics.

The top gaming smartphone came down to a handful of powerhouse performers which pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. However, the winner also adds to the experience with some excellent features and clever design.

As for the best foldable phone of 2025, that was another tricky choice. After all, Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 was massively improved from the previous generation, while one of my favourites is ridiculously hard to get your hands on.
