Saurabh Shukla had a great time holding ‘Master Mantra’ for the students of Zee Institute of Media Arts (ZIMA) & ZICA. This acclaimed actor, writer and director has been a regular visiting faculty at FTII and many other institutes of repute. Innovative and creative, his class was very interactive, educative and enjoyable exercise for the students. Commented Saurabh, “I can sing, compose and write lyrics too but I did not use them professionally because it is important to focus your creativity and energy. It is important to understand your passion. A good director is also a good actor and vise, a versa. Similarly, a director also has to know and imbibe all the other departments of film making to be a good director. At the same time a good actor must know how to write and script writer must understand the art of acting to be realistic.” He related incidents from his recent film like barfee and the perfect vision of the director to make such a realistic & successful film.
