In this cult classic from the 1950s, an agricultural scientist's experiment to grow giant vegetables using radiation goes awry, leading to a swarm of locusts consuming the crops. These locusts, now mutated to enormous sizes, wreak havoc on the nearby city of Chicago. Journalist Audrey Aimes (Peggie Castle) teams up with Dr. Ed Wainwright (Peter Graves) to uncover the cause of the devastation and find a solution. As the giant insects continue their rampage, the duo faces the daunting task of stopping the infestation before it's too late.
