Baltimore Bridge Collapse Following Cargo Ship Collision

A major US bridge has collapsed after a cargo ship collided into the structure, causing cars to fly into Baltimore’s Patapsco River with at least seven people expected to be in the water.<br /><br />Chief Kevin Cartwright, director of communications for the Baltimore City Fire Department called the incident a “developing mass casualty event” saying his focus is on “trying to rescue and recover these people”.
