Bail Hearing Of Arrested ISKCON Priest Chinmoy Krishna Das Postponed To January 2nd

On December 3, a Bangladesh court postponed the bail hearing of ISKCON priest Chinmoy K Das to January 2. The decision came after no lawyer appeared to represent him in court. Das was arrested on November 25 at Dhaka airport while traveling to Chattogram. He had been leading rallies demanding greater security for Hindus in Bangladesh. The priest faces sedition charges, which were filed in October following a rally in Chattogram, where he was accused of disrespecting the national flag.
