Helmet cam footage shows an Azerbaijani Soldiers during an assault on Armenian trenches in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The footage was filmed during Azerbaijan's military operation in Nagorno-Karabakh, which took place in late 2023. This one-day offensive, also known as the "Lightning Offensive," occurred on September 19, 2023, and marked a pivotal moment in the long-standing conflict between Azerbaijan and the ethnic Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabakh.

In 2020, Azerbaijan reclaimed much of the territory around Nagorno-Karabakh after a 44-day war. However, Nagorno-Karabakh's ethnic Armenian leadership maintained control over parts of the enclave itself. In September 2023, Azerbaijan launched a swift military operation aimed at regaining full control over the region. The Azerbaijani government stated that this offensive was necessary to eliminate Armenian military infrastructure in Nagorno-Karabakh and to enforce its sovereignty over the territory.
