Portishead Town Council Receives Police Report on Youth-Related Incidents 🚓

Interesting that anti-social behaviour is mentioned but reference is only made to the incidents where the perpetrators were youths. What about the anti-social behaviour caused by adults in Portishead? The statistics are not entirely accurate. In the period specified, the report included one stolen "scooter or moped". I reminded the police officer there had been a stolen motorbike and gave him the details. His records show it was only an attempted theft. The motorbike was most definitely stolen and not recovered. Assaults were not mentioned, not even under "other matters". Well done for the successes Avon & Somerset Police have had, particularly with their reduced resources. The police officer said he would check the compiled statistics passed to him. He also said he would check a current investigation that is ongoing. Full marks to him for engaging with the public and being willing to investigate inaccuracies in the data he was given. The worrying aspect is that the data was inaccurate in the first place.
