Marvel is using the post-Endgame era as a hinge for a major reset: Kevin Feige has described Avengers: Secret Wars as a film that will “reset” the MCU into a more singular timeline (he emphasised it’s not a full “reboot”). This is being positioned as the transition from the Endgame-era continuity to whatever comes next.

Two big Avengers films (the Endgame-era capstones) were delayed to December release windows: Avengers: Doomsday is now slated for December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars for December 17, 2027 — both pushed from earlier 2025/2026 spring dates. The delays were announced to give production the time it needs.
