AURA NOCTIS is a neoclassical darkwave band from Spain that consists of two members; Olga (Pianist) and Pilar (Cellist) <br /> <br />The style of Aura Noctis is often described as "neoclassical",does not often conform with general standards of gothic or darkwave music. Their past music could be described as a soundscape , mixed with singing on poetic and melancholy themes. Explores powerful emotions of love, vulnerability, isolation, loss, jealousy, and passion... <br /> <br />Music is a journey through emotions, representing everything that words cannot describe. Wailing wind interspersed in the forest dream, hazy endless tunnels, or the peace that only in nature you can embrace. Inspired by romanticism, Aura Noctis aims to transport us to those places where the mind had never been, arousing fantasy that is latent within us. Their melodies are the hope that drives away the pain. <br /> <br />VITAE PROELIUM is truly a strong album and the combination of fine artistry and marvelous compositions really nails this album down as one of the best neoclassical albums of the later years. Not only does it manage to feel fresh and exciting in a scene that has, for some time now, not really done much to reinvent itself. The instruments really breathe life into each and every song of the album, and the production is excellent. This is truly a musical hydra with many different heads, each singing its own song from the depths of a shared soul. In the end, this album has been a pleasure to encounter and I give it my deepest recommendation. Vitae Proelium is a dream distilled into music and it will surely linger in my soul for many years to come.
