ASIC Orders Urban Rampage to Halt Operations Over Centrepay Concerns 🛑

The National Corporate Regulator has issued a chain of home-ware stores with locations across the Northern Territory and other parts of the country with an interim stop order over concerns its practices are causing financial harm to First Nation’s consumers. Urban Rampage first came under scrutiny in 2022, when it was revealed ASIC and the ACCC were investigating issues raised about the retailer. Now, financial counsellors want to see lasting changes in the sector.
