Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that the Afghan Taliban government, instead of taking action against Indian-sponsored terrorist groups, has provided them with every possible facility.
According to the ISPR, the Pakistan Army’s public relations department, Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met a jirga of tribal elders in Peshawar. On this occasion, the Army Chief appreciated the unwavering support of the tribal people and paid tribute to the tribal people for their cooperation with the security forces during the recent Pak-Afghan tension. The Army Chief was briefed on the current security situation and operational preparedness in the region at the Peshawar Corps Headquarters. In his address, Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that Pakistan wants peace with all its neighboring countries, especially Afghanistan, but will not tolerate terrorism from Afghan soil on its soil.
