In this interview, Anvita talks about her journey from working in advertising for 15 years, to accidentally running into Aditya Chopra at Yash Raj Films, bagging her first project as a dialogue writer, writing songs and eventually directing movies.
Dutt talks about how the story of Tripti Dimri’s Bulbbul came to her in a dream, shares her experiences of writing songs for Bollywood films like Bachna Ae Haseeno, Neal N Nikki, Queen and more. Anvita Dutt also reflects on the success of Tripti Dimri.
She also opens up about being called ‘chudail’, about the liberating feeling of being a woman in her 40s, her creative process, and her close-knit WhatsApp group with lyricists Varun Grover, Swanand Kirkire, the oney female lyricist to have won Filmfare Award - Kausar Munir and others.
