Anouar Brahem "Astrakan Café". In the summer of 2020, after a long confinement in Spain due to the crisis of covid-19, I embarked on a musical journey between Spain and Portugal. I set out with my oud my guitar, and drove from Barcelona to Porto. One of my favourite companions for whatever moment in my life, is Anouar Brahem. During the months of being confined to my home, I put Anouar Brahem's music many times. And also on this first drive of the summer Iberian musical journey, Anouar Brahem's tunes accompanied me.


Astrakan Café is one of the most well known pieces of Anouar Brahem, it's captivating melody is just to beautiful to remain indifferent to. And the same happened to me. So the first song I share from this musical trip, is Astrakan Café by Anouar Brahem, played on solo oud.
