Angela Evelyn Bassett (64) is an American actress. Known for her work in film and television since the late 1980s, she has received various accolades, including two Golden Globe Awards, in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards, a British Academy Film Award, and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. On Tuesday 24 January 2023 the star received a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nomination for her role as Queen Ramonda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
