pain and apologies continue their echoes, <br />as the apologies have been said many times this time, <br />just after the act of parting such a beautiful 3 weeks, <br />she promised she'd call, <br />she would be the one to keep in touch, <br />she wouldn't treat me like I didn't exist this time, <br />she wouldn't act as if these feelings she read were for someone else, <br />she wouldn't act as if they were just letters on a page, <br /> <br />I remember a similar problem last time, <br />cold silence killed me, <br />it is killing me again, <br />we were together the second time and, <br />she said it, she said.. <br />'Aww, I never meant to hurt you, I'm so sorry! ' <br />reffering back to how she so brutally ignored me after the break, <br />so brutally treated me like a ghost she wished to forget, <br />both times now it wasnt my fault, <br />yet both times now i'm the one that gets fucking eaten alive, <br />with no sympathy, <br />there is no aid from her, <br />she says she cares, she says I mean alot to her, and that I'm amazing and yet she breaks me so. <br /> <br />Kind of painful overall, <br />Kind of hard to swallow, <br />Yet I'll suck it up and wait, <br />I'll stand still, stop my love life, <br />To wait for her, or for no one at all, <br />I love her and she doesn't grasp the strength of that, <br />She doesn't fathom what it means to me to have her at my side, <br />So even in these broken times she's not dead to me, <br />I may seem dead to her but can't accept that, <br />I will wait and wait and wait and wait, <br />until my heart tells me it's enough, <br />because my brain is useless in this, <br />it doesnt understand love well, <br />like teaching a baby algebra, <br />So against my brain, <br />I will wait...<br /><br />Andre Veilleux<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/wait-and-wait-and-wait/
