Today we’re stepping inside the London home of Aida Bratovic, an architect whose work is guided by one central idea: a home should have a soul.
Aida’s journey into design began early — drawn to building and creating from a young age, she went on to study architecture in Sarajevo before completing her postgraduate degree at the Bartlett in London. But over time, her focus shifted from structure alone to the emotional experience of a space.
For Aida, designing a home isn’t just about the architecture — it’s about how a space feels to live in. It’s the layering of materials, objects, and atmosphere that transforms a house into something deeply personal.
After years of living in a large open-plan apartment, Aida and her family set out to find a home that offered both connection and privacy — a space that could better support everyday life. When they found this house, one they had long admired, she saw its potential immediately.
Now, the home reflects her holistic approach to design, where architecture and interiors work together to create something warm, thoughtful, and enduring.
